  1. Apologies: From 3 patients
  2. Review of notes from last meeting – 28 April 2017
    • Debbie – our new Healthcare Assistant has settled in well at the practice. She is now taking blood as well as doing ear syringing, simple dressings and New Patient Checks. She will soon be doing ECGs as well. We have advertised the categories of patients who can now have their blood tests done at the surgery in the Waiting Room and on the website.
    • In addition we will soon be offering blood tests on a Thursday afternoon at the surgery. A phlebotomist from the hospital will be starting to do some additional blood tests for us. We hope this might be extended in the future.
    • Clinical Services Review – The results of the consultation have now been made public. The report is available to read on Dorset CCGs website. We should have a clearer definition of the proposals going forward by the autumn.
  3. My Health My Way
Anya de Iongh and Rachel Britten spoke to the group about the My Health My Way project. Rachel, a health coach, is with us on a Tuesday afternoon and will see patients with any long term condition, or the carer of anyone with a long term condition. The service aims to increase patient’s confidence in managing their health condition or caring role through goal setting. Patients can be booked into the service by a GP, or nurse, or can self-refer by ringing up Reception. The sessions are 45 minutes long, so much longer than you would usually get with a GP. And people would see the coach for between 2 and 6 sessions. There is more information on the surgery website.
